Project-Based Family-Style Learning

Uncharted Shores Academy is a tuition-free K-8 Del Norte County public charter school located in Crescent City, California. The Academy offers a combination of home and classroom-based education which supports the family in the education of the child by providing daily on-site classes, a focus on character development, and multi-age education where students are grouped according to academic and social development rather than by grade level.

USA's emphasis is on building respect, responsibility, and resourcefulness in our students while using thematic, interactive, family-style education at our learning stations. The interactive learning stations give the students an opportunity to participate in thematic educational activities in small, family-style learning groups. Field trips, academic competitions, programs, activities, and presentations are also included as part of the educational program.
