USA Athletics 2025/26

Welcome to the upcoming 2025/26 school year at Uncharted Shores Academy (USA). Our school is excited to participate in a variety of interscholastic sports and our coaches work hard to teach students foundational sports skills as well as promote teamwork, sportsmanship and self-esteem. We encourage students of all skill levels to try out and participate in USA Sports. 

The sports offered at USA are as follows (please note dates of sports’ seasons are approximate): 

  • Girl’s Volleyball is offered for girls 6th-8th grade. The season begins August 19th and ends in the middle of October. Click here for more information

  • Girl’s Basketball is offered for girls 6th-8th grade. The season begins mid-October and ends at the beginning of December.

  • Boy’s Basketball is offered for boys 6th-8th grade. The season runs from the beginning of January until  the beginning of March.  

  • Co-ed Track and Field is offered for boys and girls in 6th-8th grades. The season runs from mid March through the end of May.


Sports Physicals: Athletes must provide a current sports physical to participate in intramural sports at USA (physicals are good for one calendar year). Free physicals for all Del Norte County 6-8th grade students are available on Wednesday, August 27th from 3:30-5:30 at Redwood Medical Office, located at 1240 Marshall Street in Crescent City. Please take the enclosed physical form with you and fill out page one prior to the appointment.


Volleyball: A mandatory parent meeting for volleyball will be on August 18th from 5:30-6:30 pm. Please come to the USA main campus at 330 E st. to fill out paperwork and meet the coaches. If you are not able to come, please contact Ms. Kristie Perry to make other arrangements. Tryouts/practice will begin Tuesday, August 19th at USA main campus. Practice will be from 3:00-4:45 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Students will need good running shoes, knee pads and water. Please note, volleyball practices begin prior to the free Redwood Medical sports physical date. To begin practice volleyball players must either provide a current physical from their own provider, or wait until they receive their free physical from Redwood Medical.
